Swapped out the Michelin PS4S K2 for some Continental SportContact 7 today.    First Impressions are quite good but we need a few hundred kms to be sure.

Congrats on your mileage as well,  it’s truly refreshing to see someone using his Ferrari without thinking with his wallet. And the more you will drive it the less you will have problems with it.

We are at 183,864 kms today...and she is being picked up by Heritage Motor Car on Saturday for a major service plus new water pump, new coolant hose 181599, new front wheel bearings, and a few odds and ends.  I don't expect any change from 10k euros.

Well she is back home…. Currently at 184,100 kms.,

 

 

She was at Heritage Motor Car in Paris for a major service including timing (distribution), auxiliary belts, replacing 181599 (the coolant hose under the intake), replacing the water pump, all the fluids and filters, and a few little things on the exhaust brackets from speed bump strikes over the years. We also changed all 12 spark plugs and one coil pack that had insulation damage, although it was not causing misfires yet.

 

Not planned was changing the clutch, but the noise we thought was the water pump bearing was the clutch bearing.  It had exploded itself and damaged the clutch fingers in the process.  So new dual disc clutch and all the goodies that go with it.  Thankfully the fly wheel, which was replaced in 2023 was ok.  The clutch itself had 116,000 kms on it and was just under 40% worn, so this was a bearing failure at 116,000 kms and just under 3 years that also destroyed the clutch.

 

For those interested in these things:

 

Timing Belts:  23 months old with 70,000 kms on them.  So under the age limit but over the mileage limit.  The belts looked new when removed.  No Visible wear on the teeth or cracks/abrasion in the rubber,  Tensioner bearings also looked perfect.

Auxiliary belts:  23 months, 70k kms.  Belts in great shape.  Tensioner on water pump was showing some play.  

Clutch and accessories:  36 months, 116,000 kms.  Clutch discs still in good shape, premature failure caused by seized clutch bearing which damaged the clutch fingers via abrasive wear.

Water Pump:  17 years, 184,000 kms.  Failed main seal, slop in bearing,

 

Heritage did a fantastic job sourcing parts and from actually starting the work to handing the car back was just over a week,

 

We drove from Paris to the renovation project in Cher and so far so good.

The cost for everything including the transport from Rennes to Paris was around 15k.
