Parking public = mauvaise idée ?

Bonjour à tous,

 

C'est mon premier message, j'espère poster au bon endroit et ne pas faire doublon avec un message similaire.

La semaine prochaine je reçois ma première Ferrari. Je suis sur Paris. Je comptais prendre un emplacement dédié dans un parking public surveillé 24h/24 mais un ami qui a une 488 me dit qu'il a déjà plein de soucis dans ce genre de parkings. Est ce que d'autres "parisiens" confirment que c'est pas une bonne idée ? L alternative serait une conciergerie ou un box fermé avec alarme ?

En effet, je ne pense pas que cela soit une excellente idée le parking public

Pour avoir stationné mes autos à Paris pendant plus de 10 ans je te recommande plutôt de louer un emplacement de parking à un particulier

Sorry for the english...

 

I have parked in Paris  with my Maserati/Ferrari for the past 13 years.  It can be done but you need to spend the time to research each and every garage and space that you are considering.

 

1) No concierge....did this for a year and 3 door dings later - never again - under no circumstance let someone else park your car in an underground space.

2) width and slope of entrance and ramps -  can you easily enter and change levels without undue risk to your front bumper or rims.  You should have a least 20 cm per side from the curbs at the entrance (and yes bring a tape measure and check) and make sure you don't bottom out when changing levels.

3) curving curbs (my own term)...if at the entrance or exit there is a large change of direction within one car length (hard right or left) and a curb thicker than you tire sidewall - stay away - you will hit it one day.

4) enclosed space or rent two spaces side by side....door ding avoidance.

5) the perfect space has good access and egress, is in a fenced and locked enclosure specific to your car and has a power outlet for your battery conditioner, and is within 5 to 10 minutes walk from your flat/home...very difficult but not impossible.  I had a space like this in the 4th for a few years near the HdV.

6) your space, wherever you find it, must be monitored by CCTV.  Go to the control room and ask to look at the space on the surveillance system. Most garages use cameras on the walkways and entrance/exit only.

7) wherever you end up, spend the time to get to know the security team.

 

The good news is that Paris has many, many underground parking options.  You just need to spend a day or two of research and you will find that ideal spot.
