40 Ferraris turn up for CNY reunion dinner SINGAPOUR

There are plenty of ways of turning up for your Chinese New Year reunion dinner in flamboyant style and getting noticed.

But it is hard to one-up this gathering. A group of more than 80 Ferrari fanatics took to the roads in about 40 roaring Ferraris on the evening of Jan 16.

According to a video taken by a bystander, the group drove along Leng Kee Road in a single file. The enthusiasts also made a pitstop at Ferrari dealer Ital Auto (see video stills below).

The event organiser, known only as Mr Lee, told Shin Min Daily news that they are members of a Ferrari club here, which has a total membership of about 200. To be a member, one must own a Ferrari here, Mr Lee revealed.

Mr Lee also said that their club meets for meals or drives up to Malaysia every month. The most recent drive took place in November, 2011, where they drove up to Penang.

In Singapore, a Ferrari costs at least $888,000 and can go up to $1.5 million.
