Out with the old, in with the new...front suspension renovation complete.

 

Powdercoated upper and lower wishbones, new ball joints, new flanblocs (bushings), and new droplinks.

First frost of the season and post November 1st... Winter tire time!!

 

Michelin CrossClimate2....245/35r20 Front and 285/35r20 Rear.  One added bonus is a much softer/smoother ride as compared to the K spec PS4S.

Just doing some book keeping....since i bought my 612 in Nov 2021 I have driven her 140,000 kms and  purchased 22,000 liters of fuel at a cost of 39,000 euros.

Yes.  It is my daily car.  Most of its kms, however, are driven making trips of 3+ hrs around France and Europe.  We are lucky we live in a country with great roads and distances that allow you to reach almost anywhere for a late Lunch.  Paris - Monaco, no problem; Rennes - Arcachon, no problem, Paris - Nurburgring, no problem.  It is a rare weekend we don’t go somewhere (3 of us).

 

By current standards it is a simple car and its issue can be understood and the maintenance is not too bad.

 

I don’t look at cars as investments or assets, but rather entertainment and enjoyment.   You could not drive like I do otherwise.

i do understand this car may be a very good solution to travel around the country in a comfortable way thanks to the 12 strokes engine and the GT spirit of the car.

I am affraid there are unfortunately very few Ferraristas who have your approach concerning the use of their car. The majority of us think the less kilometer, the better for the car whereas I am convinced, when Kept in good mecanical shape and if well treated by the driver, our cars are indestructible.

I am persuaded our Ferrari suffer not to be driven enough as we are scared to possess a car whose odometer is to high for a Ferrarista so that the car becomes unsaleable. I have unfortunately already experienced this phenomenum with a 45-year-old Ferrari with only 100 000 km that had far too much kilometers to be sold…

I Hope your way to use your Ferrari will make some of us change the way to possess and drive a Ferrari

Happy New Year!!!

 

Took advantage of the quiet roads to get back to Paris.  

 

Antibes to "rénovation project", 825 kms in 6.5 hrs.  Short stay  then on to Paris.  Total driven today 1050 kms...9.25 hrs including all the stops.
