Presentation de LondonParis

Back in Brittany, holiday road trip over.  The 612 took us to Paris, Beaune, Antibes, Cannes, Monaco, Grasse, Lury-sur-Aron and then to Bruz.

 

A little over 3000 kms driven, lots of sunshine, a bit of snow and freezing rain while temps ranged from a high of 20 in Antibes to a low of -9 passing Clermont Ferrand on Jan 1. 

 

The Michelin CrossClimate is the perfect tire for the changing conditions on a trip like this.

I looked into it...to quote my mechanic, "I can make it but the police don't like it".

I cross the Gendarmerie, Police Nationale, etc 5-10 times per day as the car is my daily.  So, in the end, I decided not to bring more attention to the situation.

Currrent clutch wear…(remembering this is an OTO with the same twin disc clutch as a 599)

 

New clutch installed in June 2023 at 67,000 km, Clutch Position Closed when New = 19.488

Current mileage, 179,000 km, Clutch Position Closed = 21.357

 

Clutch wear:  (21.357 - 19.488)/5.4 =0.346 so 35% 

 

Not too bad for 112,000 kms of driving.  With luck, should get 200k kms out of this clutch.
